When You Lost Your Inspiration

We all have these moments when we lost our inspiration. When we don’t know what to do or feel, even how to dress or what to eat. For me these are the worst moments, because my inspiration is everything. I am a creative person and I come from an even more creative family. To make and create things inspiration is the key, that’s for sure. But unfortunately we all have days without any inspiration. When these days come I have my ways…

1. ACCEPTANCE

Even thought this might sound cheesy, accepting having a day of is okay. We all have this and not the end of the world if you don’t know what to do for a while – and for a controlfreak like me I have to say this a hundred times to myself.

2. SEARCH FOR THINGS THAT USUALLY INSPIRE YOU

Probably the best thing after accepting your non-inspirational-day is try to get it back at it asap and search for things that usually inspire you. For me this can be by walking around in the city or nature, buying fresh flowers at the market or scroll down Pinterest for a while which is always there with millions of photos to inspire you.

3. GET BACK ON TRACK

It feels normal that, when you’ve accepted your day off, you want to lay on the couch all day and watch Gossip Girl on Netflix. Well, this is not the way! Even though it looks so tempting, try to get back to work. Get yourself some fresh air and buy yourself some coffee, it is time to let those brains work again!

What are your best tips you have to remind yourself on when you lost inspiration? Let me know!
